The central market is a treasure of fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, fish and culinary delights. The spacious market located on the final side of Pest of the liberty bridge (Szabadság Mátyás), is famous also for its architecture. Built at the beginning of the centuries XIX and XX was one of most modern domestic markets, not only in Budapest, but throughout the world.
For fish and meat, take the staircase at the level of the basement. There are also plenty of shops sale of Asian specialties and a wide variety of herbs and spices at that level. The market hall is the ideal place to buy souvenirs of Hungary (powdered paprika, wine, foie gras).
For products embroidered and textile Hungarians go to the first level, where you will also find some restaurants and food that offers traditional Hungarian dishes.
