azechenyi baths, budapest

Budapest, capital of Hungary, is a city where there is no time for boredom. Filled with museums, shops, clubs and restaurants not lacking small paradises that make life more pleasant and relaxed despite being in a big city. Standouts in this category, the famous Roman Baths, one of the major attractions of the area.

The Romans who came to the Danube River decided to move into the area, among other things, the amount of medicinal and thermal water springs that they found. And best of all is that Hungary has kept this ancient tradition of health and welfare, and today we can still enjoy this pleasure Caesars own during our visit to the city.

One of these urban jewels is the Széchenyi Spa, located on the Pest side, just 10 minutes from the heart of the Hungarian capital. It is also one of the largest spas in Europe and has 10 pools in total and extensive facilities including steam rooms, saunas, massage rooms and all kinds of therapeutic treatments.

The spa building recalls the splendor of the Roman Empire with tall columns and sculptures typical of the era. Thus, the baths are divided into two main areas. An outdoor area in which there are 3 swimming pools, one for swimming and two more for recreation, but all with heated water to enjoy both winter and summer. The inner zone, meanwhile, collects all purely medicinal plants.

Swimming pools at temperatures between 20 and 38 degrees Celsius, 100-degree saunas to offset the cold bath in the icy waters and as a result of all this, absolute relaxation and wellbeing. A unique experience for family, couple or with friends at a price of ten euros per person. Undoubtedly, this is one of the things we can not miss if we came to this city also known as the Paris of the East.
